Scottish AI Alliance
Living with AI is a free beginner course from Scottish AI Alliance, online. It ends with a free certificate. Scottish AI Alliance doesn't say how long it takes.
Suits anyone, with no technical background, who wants a balanced overview of AI in society, with Scottish examples. What stands out is that it is free with a personalised certificate and covers workers' rights and recruitment. The main caveat is that the course says it won't teach how to build AI, and the 30-day completion window is fixed. A free alternative focused on using AI tools is AI Foundations from OpenAI Academy.
Free self-paced online course from the Scottish AI Alliance explaining what AI is and how it is used. Modules cover defining AI, bias, laws and standards, AI in healthcare, public services and policing, AI at work and recruitment, and AI's future. Learners get 30 days to finish and a certificate.
